Summit Health Provider Data Exchange

Summit Health is enthusiastic to share information regarding our streamlined Provider Data Exchange (PDE), an automated incentive-earning data share program to help providers close care gaps. We are flexible and accommodating to support any lift required to set up the seamless supplemental and clinical data sharing process.

How PDE works

Summit Health builds a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Site, data schemas to integrate your data into our internal data warehouse, and valuable reporting on measurement gap lists and incentive earnings that are shared through monthly provider reports accessible on our Provider Reports Portal.

You can then submit data using a secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client. Data can be submitted in up to four categories (diagnostics, labs, vitals, and screenings and assessments) monthly or other regular cadence through your dedicated SFTP site. Not all four categories of data are required, but highly recommended to impact potential incentive earnings.

Once initial data is submitted, we will conduct an audit for quality and ensure all schemas are integrating your data appropriately. After validation, the process will be automated to intake your data and produce updated accurate monthly reports.

No Cost Continuing Medical Education (CME) Opportunity to Meet New Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Requirement

Beginning on June 27, 2023, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will require a one-time attestation of training on management of substance use disorders (SUDs) prior to renewal of a DEA registration.

This means the eight-hour training must be met before:

  • Applying for a DEA license for the first time on or after June 27, 2023; or
  • Your next DEA license renewal date on or after June 27, 2023

This is a one-time DEA requirement. Once you’ve attested to completing eight hours of required training, you will not need to complete additional training for subsequent DEA renewals.

The Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Addiction Medicine ECHO Program provides no cost continuing medical education (CME) credits that will support meeting this new DEA requirement. For more information or to register, visit oregonechonetwork.org
