Getting care in a disaster


If the Governor of Oregon, the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, or the President of the United States declares a state of disaster or emergency in your geographic area, you are still entitled to care from your plan. To learn more about the status of a disaster, refer to www.fema.gov/disasters.

Summit Health Medicare Advantage plans will allow you to get care from out-of-network providers at the in-network cost-sharing during a disaster.

If your Summit Health Medicare Advantage plan has Part D prescription drug coverage, and if you cannot use a network pharmacy during a disaster, you can fill your prescription drugs at an out-of-network pharmacy.
